Introducing the Schedulin AI Chat Assistant

Today we're launching the Schedulin AI Chat Assistant — a new way to plan, draft, and analyze your social content by simply having a conversation.

Open the new /chat page and you have an AI that already knows your accounts, your posts, your analytics, and your audience.

What you can do with it

The assistant isn't a generic chatbot bolted onto a textarea. It's wired into your Schedulin workspace, so it can actually do the work with you:

  • Draft platform-tailored captions. Pick which accounts the post is for and the assistant writes versions that fit each one — character limits, tone, hashtags, link handling — all in a Lexical editor you can edit inline.
  • Set platform-specific options. Reply settings on X, placement on Instagram, privacy on YouTube, and more, all from a single composer.
  • See it before you publish. Embedded previews show exactly how the post will look on each network.
  • Ask about your performance. "What were my best posts last month?", "How is my LinkedIn engagement trending?", "Which hashtags drove the most reach?" — answers come back with inline charts.
  • Stage drafts straight into Schedulin. When you're happy, the assistant saves the post as a draft in your queue, ready for you to schedule.
  • Attach images. Drop in screenshots or photos and the assistant can read them and write around them.

Built for social, not "AI for the sake of AI"

Under the hood, the assistant has access to 14 purpose-built tools — searching your posts, pulling analytics, checking your queue, reading recent comments, fetching a URL you paste, and more. Everything is scoped to your organization, and write operations are deliberately restricted to creating drafts. Nothing gets published without you.

We're using OpenAI's latest vision-capable models so the assistant can reason about images you attach, and the entire chat history is saved per workspace so you can pick up where you left off.

Who can use it — and what it costs

The AI Chat Assistant is rolling out to all Schedulin users starting today. Every paid plan includes a monthly AI credit allotment that refills automatically:

  • Starter$1 of AI credits / month (~80 typical messages)
  • Creator$3 of AI credits / month (~250 typical messages)
  • Pro$8 of AI credits / month (~660 typical messages)

Credits are deducted based on the actual tokens each message uses, so light chats go a long way and heavy "read this article and analyze my last month of posts" turns cost a bit more. You can see your remaining balance at any time in the chat sidebar header, and top up with credit packs whenever you need more — no plan upgrade required.

Head to /chat in the app to try it.

What's next

This is the first release. On the roadmap:

  • More platform-specific drafting (Threads carousels, YouTube Shorts metadata, TikTok captions with trending sound suggestions)
  • Bulk drafting across a week or month from a single brief
  • Brand voice training from your existing top-performing posts
  • Workflow automations that hand work off to the assistant on a schedule

If there's something you want the assistant to do for you, let us know — we read every reply.

Happy posting.
